The primary focus of
STOPandThinkTV is to “Take Recovery Mainstream”. STOPandThinkTV will
broadcast the reality that the word “recovery” is not only about
struggles with addictions, but applies to much other human brokenness as
well, such as divorce, depression, and abuse. Our message in essence is
that we’re all recovering from something. STOPandThinkTV will host shows
of inspiration and hope where people of all types and ages, each
recovering from something, speak out of authority of their own
experience, while providing strength and hope for all who struggle with
brokenness in this broken world.
STOPandThinkTV will also present news,
information, spirituality and comments on current events to America in a
new light, as seen through eyes of a nation needing wide scale effective
recovery. Our programming will contain engaging interviews, talking
heads and other PBS-style current event commentary. We believe that by
envisioning and creating our material from the eyes and hearts of people
in recovery, we can help unite people behind a common goal, rather than
focus on issues that divide them. We want to present the real stories
about real people beneath Media’s typical sound bite, and engaging
interviews. And we’re out to recapture our spirituality – it is an
integral and essential part of our history as Americans.
First and foremost, we envision STOPandThinkTV as
a pioneer in “Taking Recovery Mainstream.” We will share the same
recovery principles with the public that have helped millions in
recovery groups, incorporating the proven 12-Step program that
Alcoholics Anonymous was founded upon in 1935. STOPandThinkTV will make
these same principles available to everyone, in the privacy of their own
living room. |
